Consulting Times

Mornings: 0830 – 1030 and 1100 – 1230

Afternoons: times vary but a 2 hour surgery is held between 1500 - 1800

The doctors are usually available for consultation on the following days, except when on holiday or study leave.

• Dr Deeks: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (am)
• Dr Jacobs: Maternity Leave
• Dr Francoise Van Dorp Monday (am), Tuesday (am) & Thursday
• Dr Barnett: Tuesday, Wednesday (am) & Friday

All consultations are 10 minutes in duration.  Please be considerate to others and be prepared to come back again if you have multiple questions or a comlex history.  Alternatively double appointmnets can be made.

All surgeries are by appointment which can be made by telephoning 0844 477 3483.  

We recommend that you see the same doctor for on-going problems: however, you may contact any doctor or nurse in an emergency. 

If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know so that it can be offered to someone else.  Much valuable appointment time is lost by patients simply not turning up.  Even a same day cancellation can usually be filled by another patient. 

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor on the telephone during surgery hours please leave your telephone number so you can be called back at the end of surgery.  It is best to telephone as soon as possible after 8.00am.

Extended Hours Appointments

Wilton Health Centre also offer extended hours appointments, which are for routine (non-examination) appointments outside normal working hours.  These appointments vary week to week.  There is at least one Saturday morning from 0900 – 1030 a month and several late evening appointments, usually on a Wednesday or Thursday from 1830 – 2000.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery you may request a home visit by telephoning 0844 4773483. For home visit requests please telephone if possible before 10.00am.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Test Results

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results. Please call after 10:00am for your results as any earlier the phones will be busy and you may be unable to get through.
